Promotions & tenure

Texas State: 26 promoted, 16 granted tenure

Regents of the Texas State University System have approved the promotion of 26 faculty members at Texas State University-San Marcos and have granted tenure to 16.



Promotions

Promoted from associate professor to professor (with academic department in parentheses) were Jennifer L. Battle (curriculum and instruction), Cyrus Cassells (English), Sylvia L. Crixell (family and consumer sciences), Maria Czyzewska (psychology), Ian B. Davidson (music), Barbara H. Davis (curriculum and instruction) and John Fleming (theatre and dance).

Also promoted from associate professor to professor were Gary A. Hartman (history), Roger D. Jones (English), Maureen Keeley-Vassberg (communication studies), Joey Martin (music), Wuxu Peng (computer science) and Jian Sheng (mathematics).

Promoted from assistant professor to associate professor were Roxane Cuellar Allsup (curriculum and instruction), Lynn Brinckmeyer (music), Elizabeth Erhart (anthropology), Jon S. Lasser (educational administration and psychological services), Debarun Majumdar (sociology), Rebecca Montgomery (history) and Kay M. Nicols (management).

Also promoted from assistant professor to associate professor were Rodney E. Rohde (clinical laboratory science), Christopher J. Russian (respiratory care), Dhiraj Anil Vattem (family and consumer sciences), Floyd Weckerly (biology), Ha Chin Yi (finance and economics) and Lijun Yuan (philosophy).

Tenure

Texas State faculty members awarded tenure were Roxane Cuellar Allsup (curriculum and instruction), Lynn Brinckmeyer (music), Elizabeth Erhart (anthropology), Jon S. Lasser (educational administration and psychological services), Debarun Majumdar (sociology), Rebecca Montgomery (history), Kay M. Nicols (management) and Judith B. Oskam (journalism and mass communication).

Also awarded tenure were Rodney E. Rohde (clinical laboratory science), Christopher J. Russian (respiratory care), Dhiraj Anil Vattem (family and consumer sciences), Robert S.
