Cleburne residents who reported hearing a clap of thunder were reacting to a third earthquake in less than one week.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 8:02 a.m. Monday tremor registered a 2.3-magnitude and was centered about 1 mile west of Cleburne.

City spokesman Charlie Hodges says something sounded like thunder, some residents reported hearing a low rumble for about two seconds, then nothing. He says no damage nor injuries were reported.

A 2.6-magnitude tremor was reported late Sunday about 3 miles south of Keene, also about 4 miles east of Cleburne. A 2.8-magnitude quake hit Cleburne last Tuesday.
