Three jailed for burglary

Three men are in Hays County Jail charged with burglary after homeowners south of Kyle apparently surprised them.

Arrested were 17-year-old Mauricio Alvarado Rodriguez Jr. of Kyle, 20-year-old Moises Rodriguez of Kyle and 31-year-old Carlos Seriano Albarez of Lockhart.

According to Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Leroy Opiela, authorities got a call from the homeowners around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday that they came home to find a suspicious car parked in their driveway.

"When they approached the house, they saw subjects they did not know run from their home. They checked the house and found that forced entry had been made," he said.

Descriptions were obtained and feputies began a search of the area and quickly located one of the suspects near the home. At around 5 p.m., two additional suspects were found on Center Street in Kyle.

Opiela said all are charged with burglary, a second degree felony. Bond for Moises Rodriguez and Mauricio Rodriguez is $10,000.00. Albarez has warrants from Bastrop and Caldwell Counties as well as the Hays County charge and his bonds are set at a total of $240,000.00.
