‘State of City’ address slated for Wednesday

San Marcos San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz will present a formal “State of the City” address at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins. The public is invited to attend.

The event will start with an Information Fair at 6 p.m. with the opportunity for residents to visit with directors of City departments and discuss issues of concern and to learn about current projects.

Mayor Narvaiz will then give her address.

“My goal is to report to our citizens where San Marcos stands today in a variety of areas,” she said. “I will cover such issues as city finances, public safety, community services, economic development and our vision for the future.”

This is the third annual State of the City address given by Mayor Narvaiz. A number of special guests will be honored during the address.
