Lockhart — A couple of counterfeiting suspects from Kyle already jailed in Hays County are now facing similar charges in Caldwell.
Tanya Disirea Bostick, 25, and Stephen Barham, 27, were arrested in late June after officials say she bought fireworks with a bogus $100 bill at a Buda-area stand.
Barham was also charged with marijuana possession.
Caldwell County Sheriff's Spokesman Sgt. Paul Cowan said phony $100s were passed at two stands, one on Hwy. 80 between Martindale and San Marcos and the other on Hwy. 21 at FM 1966 near Maxwell.
Cowan said both suspects admitted their involvement when interviewed by Caldwell investigators.
He said Tuesday that arrest warrants have been issued.
