Portion of IH-35 to close
A portion of IH-35 between Austin and San Marcos will be closed starting from 9 p.m. tonight through late Sunday due to construction.
Those planning to attend commencement ceremonies at Texas State University-San Marcos should make travel plans accordingly.
Travelers coming to San Marcos from the north should allow ample extra time to navigate the closure or consider alternate routes, such as using U.S.281 or State Highway 21.
Degree candidates from the College of Liberal Arts and the University College will attend the 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, graduation ceremony.
Degree candidates from the colleges of Applied Arts and Fine Arts and Communication will attend the 2 p.m. ceremony today.
Candidates from the College of Science and the McCoy College of Business Administration will attend today’s 6 p.m. ceremony.
Candidates from the colleges of Education and Health Professions will attend the ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Texas Supreme Court Justice Dale Wainwright will deliver the commencement address during the ceremony at 6 p.m. today.
