Lockhart — Caldwell County officials have seized more than 50 pounds of marijuana and arrested two.
According to Caldwell County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Paul Cowan, deputies, along with the Sheriff’s Special Crimes unit and the U.S. Postal Service, executed a search warrant Aug. 21 on a home in the 100 block of Cross Meadow Court in Mustang Ridge.
They reportedly found 54.5 lbs. of pot and arrested 17-year-old Miguel Angel Alcantara and 20-year-old Felix Alexander Tenorio.
Cowan said both were charged with possession and remain jailed under separate bonds of $10,000.
“The seizure and the arrest culminated a month long investigation in the trafficking of marijuana in Caldwell County, said Sheriff Daniel C. Law, citing another recent bust in Dale that netted more than 150 lbs.
Law said his department “will continue their efforts in reducing marijuana and drug trafficking throughout the county by diligently investigating and arresting these criminals.”
