SIFE teaches credit responsibility

Texas State University student and Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team member, Jennifer Kraft, recently taught Texas State residents of College Inn about the principles of credit.

The project entitled “Dr. Debt” teaches the students about the responsibilities of credit cards and how they can help and haunt users.

Discussed were credit reporting agencies, credit reports, what a FICO score is, factors affecting a FICO score and the best ways to improve credit scores.

SIFE is a global, non-profit organization based at more than 1,600 university campuses in 40 countries. SIFE offers students the chance to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise.
