Elderly couple’s home robbed in repair ‘ruse’
San Marcos — San Marcos police are on the lookout for three Hispanic men who were traveling in a black truck in connection with the burglary of an elderly couple’s home.
SMPD Sgt. Dave Waugh said the three are suspected of entering the couple’s home in the 1400 block of Dartmouth Tuesday afternoon “under a ruse” of doing repair work. “While discussing repair work to be done inside the home they stole a significant amount of cash.”
Waugh said two of the suspects actually entered the home while the third waited outside.
No further descriptions were immediately available.
