Governor reappoints Dripping Springs woman to architecture board


Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Linda “Diane” Steinbrueck of Driftwood to the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2013. The board regulates the practice of architecture, landscape architecture and interior design throughout the state.

Steinbrueck is president of Winterowd Associates Inc. She is a regional director for the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards, a founding member of the Texas Association of Landscape Architects and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Steinbrueck is a recipient of the City of Austin’s Environmental Awareness Award and a Texas Chapter ASLA Honor Award winner for her work with the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Landscape Development. She also received an Environmental Innovation Award from the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District for her work on the Silver LEED certified Circle C Fire Station. Steinbrueck received a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University.
