Crockett Elementary School recently honored school volunteer Frank Kane with a Call to Excellence T-shirt for his dedicated service to the school, parents, staff and students.
The Crockett staff said that Kane is "Exemplary in All Ways" and went on to list just a few of his contributions: He volunteers for morning duty everyday, arriving early to welcome at the door and assist students out of the cars.
He is involved in the Dad's Zone program, promoting and encouraging other fathers to come as much as possible. He is the chairman of the PTO Carnival, for the second year in a row, working for it to be an even bigger success. He makes frequent donations to the campus in areas of specific need, such as a pair of sawhorses used to display messages for parents at the front entrance and a television antenna for the campus TV.
A Call to Excellence – a grass-roots, parent-led group the purpose of which is to improve San Marcos CISD schools – donated the "Exemplary in All Ways" T-shirts to the local public schools to honor exemplary service.
