A pilot had to set his single-engine plane down in a pasture after experiencing engine trouble on a flight to Austin.
Officials said the pilot refused medical treatment after the landing. The Cirrus SR22 lost a wheel, had damage to both wings. The Austin American-Statesman said barbed wire was wrapped in the propeller after the plane landed against a barbed-wire fence.
The emergency landing near the Bastrop-Travis county line occurred late Monday morning.
