Residents who want to weigh in on how the city should use Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) can do so at meetings today and tomorrow.
At 2 p.m. today and at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, meetings will be held at City Hall.
This year the city will develop a new five-year plan for the expenditure of CDBG funds for program years 2010 (which begins Oct. 1.) through 2014. This is a collaborative effort between city staff and the residents of San Marcos.
The input of residents is vital, city leaders say, in establishing the needs of the community and prioritizing the way CDBG funds should be used.
