Area kart club helps CASA of Central Texas

The Hill Country Kart Club recently presented CASA of Central Texas with a donation of more than $3,000 that it raised by asking kids to race for kids.

The national Kids Racing for Kids event raises fund across the country for sick and injured children, and the Hill Country Kart Club chose a local organization to fit that mission.

“We decided to do something a little more deliberate and elaborate and decided to benefit our local CASA organization,” said Tracy Owens, HCKC publicity director. “We love what this teaches our club’s children and how it benefits our community.”

CASA of Central Texas advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system by recruiting, training and supporting community volunteers.

Advocating for children in this area for almost 25 years, CASA acts as the eyes and ears of the Child Protection Court Judge.

HCKC is a non-profit 401 3C organization that is open to everyone, but especially to families as karting is a family oriented sporting event.
