San Marcos — The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center and Conley Car Wash & Express Lube will be holding a benefit on Saturday, March 20 at Conley Car Wash in San Marcos, located at 1200 Thorpe Lane.
It will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center has been serving Hays and Caldwell counties since 1978, providing free and confidential assistance to men, women and children who have been victims of family violence, sexual assault or child abuse.
HCWC offers 24-hour crisis response as well as shelter, counseling, support groups, children’s advocacy center (Roxanne’s House) and community education and prevention programs.
The mission is to create an environment where violence and abuse are not tolerated in the communities they serve.
On March 20, 15 percent of every car wash and detail as well as every full service oil change (a new service at Conley’s) is donated to the shelter, for the entire day (8 a.m. -6 p.m.) There will also be local celebrities helping clean cars.
All tips they receive on this day will be donated directly to the HCWC.
