Black assumes command of 2nd Battalion

Fort Hood — Lt. Col. Timothy M. Snider relinquished command of 2nd Battalion, Warrior Transition Brigade (WTB) to Lt. Col. Mark E. Black this week at Fort Hood.

As a civilian, LTC Black is a practicing attorney.

He most recently served as a prosecutor in the Caldwell County District Attorney’s Office.  

 The mission of the Warrior Transition Brigade is to provide command and control, primary care, rehabilitation and case management for warriors in transition, ensuring that the soldier receives the appropriate medical care and administrative support so he or she can fully return to duty or make the transition back into the civilian community.
