Free spay/neuter services offered

— Pet Prevent a Litter (PALS) is joining with the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter & Adoption Center to offer Hays County residents these veterinary services now through July 22.

This program is open to any residents regardless of income while funds last.

PALS can help residents fix their pets. Leave a message 754-PALS or email to PAL@PreventALitter.com.

For every spay or neuter, fewer pets will end up homeless or in animal shelters, PALS Director Sharri Boyett said.

The process of spaying/neutering is a safe surgical procedure. Having your pet spayed or neutered also has significant health benefits and prevents unwanted pets, she said.

PALS encourages everyone to spay or neuter their pets.

PALS (Pet Prevent a Litter) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, serving Hays County and adjacent counties.   PALS' mission is to help end pet overpopulation and pet homelessness in Central Texas.
