The San Marcos High School marketing classes had their annual fashion show on Nov. 20 in the San Marcos Performance Art Center. Marketing Teacher Irma Carr gathered local boutique owners of Cricketts and Calli’s as well as major department stores JCPenney and Bealls to display their clothes among high school students. Beth Parker’s apparel class teamed with Carr’s fashion marketing classes to give a "greener side" to the show. The Paper Dolls were a category in the show. Students constructed outfits out of newspaper and duct tape. Out of the Blue Salon donated their time in making the student models look fabulous while Transformation Institute classes applied makeup. Director of the show was Stephanie Vela, fashion marketing student.
