The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) has recognized Terry McCabe, assistant professor of mathematics and associate director of the Mathworks program at Texas State University, with the Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics in Texas Award.
The honor was announced during the MAA’s annual Texas Section meeting held at Abilene Christian University April 10.
McCabe has been involved with Mathworks for almost two decades, and is also one of the co-authors of the Mathworks curriculum that is being piloted by more than 1,300 Texas middle school students.
