St. John’s Fiesta will offer fun, food, a car show and lots of games

— It’s that time.  

This Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 3-4, marks the 63rd Annual Fiesta at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos.

Starting at 6 p.m. each evening, organizers say the annual event promises fun for the entire family and ends each night with free live performances on stage.  

Saturday night will feature Elida y Grupo Avante while on Sunday night Dave Mares will perform.

Throughout the evening crowds can take part in a variety of activities including arts and crafts booths, various game booths to test skills and win prizes, and food booths.

There will be a car show, train rides for children,  a silent auction and a talent show each evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Drawing tickets are still available with the main prizes being Mastercard gift cards.  

The grand prize is $5,000 with second prize being $2,500.  Third and fourth prizes are $1,000 each while fifth and sixth prizes are $500 each.

Prizes are also being awarded for seventh through tenth with prizes ranging from a TV to digital camera and $100 gas cards.

The drawing will be held on Sunday night and it is not necessary to be present to win, however you must be 18 or over.  Drawing tickets are $2 each.
