Army Reserve Pvt. Richard E. Jay has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction and training in various areas.
He is the son of James Jay of Linda Drive, San Marcos.
Jay is a 2007 graduate of Pride High School, San Marcos.
