Franklin, Floyd engagement

Mr. Jacob Thomas Floyd of San Marcos and Miss Suzanne Joy Franklin of Pleasanton are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Suzanne is the daughter of Mr. R. Thomas Franklin and the late Brenda Franklin of Pleasanton and the granddaughter of Mrs. Doris Franklin and the late Arnold Franklin of Poteet and Mrs. Lola McClanahan and the late D.V. McClanahan of Pleasanton. The groom is the son of Mr. Stephen Floyd and Dr. Sue Harrison-Floyd of San Marcos and the grandson of Mrs. Helen Floyd of San Marcos and the late James Floyd of Houston and Mrs. Norma Harrison and the late Dr. William Harrison of Houston.

Suzanne is a 2002 graduate of Jourdanton High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas A & M University with a degree in Food Science and Technology.

She is currently employed as a food broker for Daymon Worldwide in San Antonio. Jacob is a 2002 graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy and a 2006 graduate of Texas A & M University with a degree in Geography. He is currently completing a Master's degree in Geography at Texas State University and is employed as a planner with the City of San Antonio.

The couple is planning an August wedding at Travis Park United Methodist Church in San Antonio. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in San Antonio.
