Saldana, Arredondo

Mrs. Blanca Hernandez Rodriguez of San Marcos is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter Diana Saldana to Roberto Carlos Arredondo. Roberto is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jose E. Arredondo, Jr. of Laredo.

The bride-to-be was born and raised in Carrizo Springs. She graduated from San Marcos High School and the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Arts degrees in Government and History and later earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas. She is a Federal Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Texas.

The groom-to-be was born and raised in Laredo and graduated from St. Augustine. He is a police officer with the Laredo Police Department and is continuing his studies in criminal justice at Texas A&M International University.

The couple plans to wed on Oct. 4 at the Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda.
