Ms. Eva G. Hernandez of San Marcos and Ms. Rebecca Hedman of Chicago, Illinois are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Miss Annamarie H. Quintero and Dr. Joshua R. Hedman.
Miss Quintero is a 1998 graduate of San Marcos High School, a 2002 graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where she received a bachelor's degree in political science, and a 2007 graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Ill., where she received a master's degree in secondary education with a specialization in history. She is a high school A.P. U.S. History teacher for Northside Independent School District in San Antonio.
Annamarie is the granddaughter of Mike M. and Angie G. Hernandez, of San Marcos.
Dr. Hedman is a 1995 graduate of Bettendorf High School in Iowa, a 1999 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, where he received a bachelor's degree in biology, a 2003 graduate of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Ill.
Afterwards, he finished his podiatry training with a three year residency at the Chicago Veterans Medical Center. He is a physician and partner at the Foot and Ankle Treatment Center of San Antonio. Joshua is the grandson of Reverend James and Betty Hazelwood, of Peoria, Ill. A wedding will be planned in San Antonio, fall 2010.
