Clark, Binford

Alison Elizabeth Clark and William Robert Binford, both of Austin, were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Christ United Methodist Church in Farmers Branch. The Rev. Dr. Victor Casad officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Cernota Clark of San Marcos, formerly of Lewisville, N.C., and Denton. Her maternal grandparents are the late Henry R. and Elsie Stipek Cernota of Berwyn-Cicero, Ill. Her paternal grandparents are the late Ransom C. and Hazel Quick Clark of Howell, Mich. The bride is a graduate of Tulane University with a master of architecture degree. She is employed by SHW Group in Austin.

The groom is the son of Jeff and Pam Binford of Farmers Branch. His maternal grandparents are the late Shirley Ann Morrison of Farmers Branch and Bob and Shirley Gunn of Plano. His paternal grandparents are Bill & Margie Binford of Farmers Branch. The groom is a graduate of Texas A&M; University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences. He is employed by John Q. Hammons Hotels at Embassy Suites, San Marcos.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Lauren Horton of Dallas. The bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Ashley Schimelman of San Marcos; the groom's sister, Katie Binford of Farmers Branch; and Emily Vinson of Austin and Jennifer Arnold of Little Elm.

The best man was Bailey Tipps of Austin. The groomsmen were the bride's brother, Owen Clark of Dallas; and Steve Ramirez of San Antonio, Bobby Shaw of Coppell, and Weldon Nanson of Angleton.

The flower girl was the bride's niece, Natasha Schimelman of San Marcos.

Ceremony music was performed by the bride's uncle, William H. Cernota, cellist, of Chicago; and Dr. Herbert Holl, pianist, of Denton.

The ushers were Will McCauley, Kyle Marrou, Jess Tipps and Kendall Turnipseed.

Caroline Cloutier was the guest-register attendant. Alison Ens and Madeleine Cloutier were greeters. Vonda Jane Westlake and Meredith Cloutier were candle lighters.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple now resides in Austin.
