Brittany Adams-Craig and Matthew William Beebe, both of Austin, were married on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Barr Mansion in Austin.
The bride is the daughter of Bobby and Melissa Craig of Corpus Christi. She is the granddaughter of Don and Betty Adams of La Grange and the late James and Gertie Craig. The groom is the son of Steven and Sue Beebe of San Marcos and the grandson of William H. and Jane Dye of Hannibal, Missouri; and Russell and Muriel Beebe of Grain Valley, Missouri.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal luncheon at the Trattoria Lisina Restaurant at the Mandola Estate Winery in Driftwood, Texas, on Saturday, March 6.
Steven Beebe, father of the groom, officiated at the ceremony. Music was by classical guitarist and Southwestern University faculty member David Asbury.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless gown with whimsical lace detail and a sweep train. Her hair, styled by Courtney Campbell, was adorned with two white orchids. She carried a bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids, orange vanda orchids, green hydrangea, small green succulents, green hanging amaranthus, brown scabiosa pods, and gray dusty miller wrapped in green striped ginger leaves, along with a small white family Bible.
The bride’s attendants were Jodi Brown, Stephanie Daniel, Jamie Hartnett, Cassie Littlejohn, and Tammy Smith. They wore dresses of various styles in slate gray and carried bouquets of mango calla lilies. The flower girl was Anna Haffelfinger, daughter of Blake Adams and cousin of the bride.
The groom wore a pinstriped graphite gray suit, white shirt, and gray striped tie. His attendants were Mark Beebe, Drew Campbell, Martin Moeller, Joshua Mouton, and John Revels.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the Barr Mansion’s organic menu, which included an Italian cream wedding cake with cream cheese frosting, and an apple groom’s cake with brown sugar frosting. Entertainment was by the Austin band Don Chani.
Brittany graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi in 2001 and from the University of North Texas in Denton in 2009. She plans to teach elementary school.
Matt graduated from San Marcos High School in 2000 and from Southwestern University in Georgetown in 2004. He is currently a graduate student in Education at Texas State University-San Marcos and is employed at Mazak Music.
The couple will live in Austin.
