— Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durham Nash, Jr. of San Marcos, Texas are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Durham Nash, to Brian James Smith. Mr. Smith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Whitfield Smith of Dallas, Texas.
Miss Nash is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durham Nash of Austin, Texas and Mrs. Lucette Topper and the late Mr. Robert Leonard Topper of Houston, Texas.
Caroline graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy in San Marcos, Texas in 2001 and the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 where she received her Bachelor of Arts with a major in advertising and served as chapter president of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She currently resides in New York, New York and works as the e-commerce marketing manager for Tory Burch, LLC.
Mr. Smith is the grandson of Mr. Niley Judson Smith and the late Mrs. Carolyn Cheeves Smith of Cameron, Texas and Mrs. Martha Yarbrough and the late Dr. James Lafayette Coleman, Jr. of Victoria, Texas.
Brian graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas in 1999 and the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in finance from the Business Honors Program. He currently resides in New York, New York and works for Venesprie Capital, LLC, an affiliate of Tiger Management, LLC.
The couple is planning a May wedding in Napa, Calif.
