Mr. and Mrs. Bill Damron of San Marcos are honored to announce the wedding of their daughter, Brooke Alayne Damron to Heath William Casteel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Casteel of Horatio, Ark. The couple was married March 20, 2010 at 6 p.m. at The Winfield Inn in Kyle. Dr. Jimmy Cobb and Dr. Mark Miller officiated.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by the Matron of Honor Rebecca Wilkins and bridesmaid Karin Rush, both of Dallas. Don Wilkins of Dallas served as Best Man and Doug Casteel of Horatio, Ark., was the groomsman. Ushers were Blake Damron and Darryl Rush, both of Dallas.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero strapless gown of ivory Chardon metallic taffeta with a beaded bodice. Music during the ceremony was provided by acoustic guitarists Mark Anthony Cruz and Glenn Rexach. Dinner and dancing to the music of High Island Hep Cats followed the ceremony. The couple’s first dance was to Lyle Lovett’s “Nobody Knows Me,” performed by the bride’s uncle, Darryl Rush. The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Salt Lick in Driftwood.
Brooke is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Damron of Temple, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Rush of Markham. Heath is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pogue of Horatio, Ark. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Casteel, Sr. of Horatio, Ark.
The bride is a graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy and received a B.A. in public relations from Texas Tech University. She is currently a marketing professional with CiCi’s Pizza. The bridegroom is a graduate of Horatio High School and received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Arkansas. He is employed by Chevron-Phillips.
Following a honeymoon in the Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Dallas.
