Dr. and Mrs. Dan Posey are pleased to announce the engagement of their youngest daughter Rachel to Dale Austin, son of Wes Austin and Scottie Schrubb.
Rachel is the granddaughter of Marvin and Mary Posey of Hearne, Texas and David and Dorothy Wyer of Muleshoe, Texas. Dale is the grandson of C.A. and Pattie Austin of San Antonio, Texas, Shirley Austin of San Marcos, Texas, Raymond and Sarah Sibert of Manchaca, Texas, and Ray and Judy Embree of Martindale, Texas.
Rachel graduated from Madisonville High School in 2004. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's of Science in public relations. She currently works in public relations in Minneapolis, MN.
Dale graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy in 2003. He also attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor's of Science in advertising. He is a junior art director at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, MN.
The couple will be married on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Austin.

San Marcos High School students Katy Whitbeck and Dwaylan Applewhite were selected for the All-State Choir, and Sam Heaton was named Second Alternate to the Men's All-State Choir.
