Couple opens Christmas display to public for free

Thirty seven years ago, John and Carolyn Sulaica put up their annual Christmas display at their home in San Antonio and invited the public to come walk through it at no charge.

When they moved to Canyon Lake they brought that practice with them.

The free display is at 1074 Echo Point, Canyon Lake. Carolyn Sulaica said there’s parking in the cul de sac and the display takes about 40 minutes to walk through. It’s their way of giving back during the Christmas season.

To get there from San Marcos, take Ranch Road 12 to FM 32 and make a left. Turn into the first subdivision, Devil’s Backbone, and proceed straight on Scenic View. Then take a right at Heritage Hill and another left on Echo Point. From there, “you can’t miss it,” she says.
