Living briefly in Cicero, as well as in Rialto, Calif. and Denton, Tx., her final move from Michigan was to Winston-Salem in December 2006, residing at Brighton Gardens assisted care community.
Having worked as a secretary and bookkeeper in a credit bureau and a state hospital, Hazel was most dedicated to her final, longtime employment as parish secretary for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Howell, retiring in 1979. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Howell and a talented musician.
