Frank E. Tombaugh, of Lockhart, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2008, at the age of 86. He was born in Dripping Springs on Oct. 23, 1921, to John Lee Terrell and Myrtle (Guttry) Tombaugh.
His parents, and his wife Annie Laurie Tombaugh preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Terrell “Terry” E. Tombaugh and wife, Barbara of Van Alstyne; two daughters, Betty Sowell and husband, Chuck of Lockhart and Billie Owens and husband J.B. of Buda; sister Earline Black of Louisiana; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Frank worked for several years as crew foreman for the Caldwell County Roads Department. He also worked at Camp Gary for a few years. He and his wife, Annie enjoyed traveling, especially camping and fishing.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 17 in the Fentress Cemetery.
