Luis Guerra Pavia, a resident of San Marcos, was called home by our Heavenly Father on April 24, 2008 at the age of 81.
He was born June 21, 1926 in Fentress to Roman and Guadalupe Pavia.
He is survived by his loving wife Amelia Pavia of San Marcos; sons, Robert Pavia of Fresno, California, Raymond Pavia of Houston, Ricky Pavia of San Marcos; daughters, Mary Alice Pavia of San Marcos, Vera Rangel of Seguin, Lupe Gholoom of Austin, Linda Feltner of Austin, brother, Gilbert Pavia; sister, Helen Hurtado; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Luis Pavia Jr.; sister, Belia Torres; brothers, Esequiel Pavia and Tony Pavia.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home, 2001 Ranch Road 12.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Deacon Lalo Duran will officiate.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church. Fr. Larry Stehling will officiate. Burial will follow in San Juan Cemetery, Prairie Lea.
