Guadalupe Rocha Saucedo

— Guadalupe Rocha Saucedo, 78, of Lafayette, and formerly of Rensselaer, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at his home. He was born in Redwood on Sept. 8, 1929.
Guadalupe lived in San Marcos for the first 14 years of his life. In 1945 he moved to Rensselaer, Ind. He was employed as a farmer with Gehring Farms for 40 years and was the janitor for St. Augustine Catholic School for 11 years. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer.
On Feb. 14, 1960 in San Marcos, Guadalupe married Francisca T. Tobias.
Guadalupe is survived by: wife, Francisca T. Saucedo, Lafayette, Ind., seven children, Gil Saucedo, Rensselaer, Pedro Saucedo, Lafayette, Ind., Mary (Brad) Gott, Lafayette, Ind., Juanita Saucedo, Rensselaer Rosa (Stephen) Contello, Montgomery, Tx., Jimmy Saucedo, Rensselaer and Ester (Ulysses) Villarreal, Lafayette; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Enrique Saucedo, Victor (Frutosa) Saucedo and Miguel (Guadalupe) Saucedo and a sister, Catalina Rangel, all of San Marcos.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by his Parents, Victor and Luz (Rocha) Saucedo, three brothers and a sister.
The family will receive friends at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Saturday, May 10 from 9-11 a.m. Funeral services will be at the St. Augustine Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Rensselaer.
