Barbara Denny Wallace

Barbara Denny Wallace was born Sept. 10, 1922 in Northampton, Mass. She died Oct. 17, 2009 at home in Wimberley.

Her parents were Mabel (Wood) and W. Ernest Denny.

Wallace attended Northampton schools and graduated from Smith College in 1943.

She is predeceased by her parents, brother Howard Denny, son John Randall Bahm (1979),  daughter Carol Bahm Williams (2008) and ex-husband John Fletcher Bahm (1979).

Wallace is survived by her son L. Denny Bahm of Austin and her dog Ernie.

She was a registered medical records administrator. After retiring, she was active as a volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association, several libraries, Clarke School for the Deaf and the Central Texas Medical Center. She was also the organizer of some of her high school reunions.

At her request, her body will be cremated and there will be no service or funeral.

Memorial donations may be made in support of Ada Comstock Scholars Program, Smith College, 33 Elm Street, Northampton, Mass., or Doctors Without Borders, P.O. Box 1869, Merrifield, Va. 22116-9644.
