E. Denise Harris

San Marcos — E. Denise Harris, 49, of San Marcos, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007. She was born May 13, 1957 in San Angelo to Dave McWilliams Jr. and Dolores Irene (Smith) McWilliams.

A 1975 graduate of San Marcos High School, Denise worked at Texas State University in San Marcos, as an administrative assistant in the faculty records department for 27 years. She was also a member of The Way Church in San Marcos

Her sister, Glenda Crittendon, brother, Darryl Crittendon, maternal grandparents, James E. and Otha Mae Smith, and paternal grandparents, Dave McWilliams Sr. and Corine McWilliams preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Nathan Harris Jr. of San Marcos; mother Dolores Crittendon of San Marcos; son Davian Peterson of San Marcos; daughter Cherne Harris of San Marcos; stepson Gentrye Harris of San Marcos; sisters Cheryl McWilliams of San Marcos and Rita L. Dobbins and husband, Carl of Alvin; grandchildren Stephon Rodriguez and Tyah Gantt, both of San Marcos; and nieces Jasmine McWilliams of San Marcos and Cienna Dobbins of Alvin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the First United Methodist Church in San Marcos, with the Rev. Anthony Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the San Marcos Blanco Cemetery.
