— Our beloved Hortencia Cisneros DeLeon, 82, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10 in Kyle.
A lifelong resident of Kyle, she was born on Oct. 6, 1927 to Daniel Cisneros and Maria Passion Romero Cisneros.
Hortencia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for more than 38 years caring for residents at Hillside Manor in San Marcos.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benancio, in December of 2008.
She is survived by her son Benny DeLeon and his wife Kathy, of Kyle; daughter Lya Rainosek of Kyle; son Johnny DeLeon of Laredo; son Rick DeLeon and his fiancé Beatriz Amaya of Kyle; brother Pete Cisneros of Kyle; brother Dan Cisneros of Austin; sister Josephine Alvarado of San Marcos; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. DeLeon on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in San Marcos. Celebrant will be Fr. Larry Stehling.
