Pedro ‘Pete’ Gaitan Garza

Pedro (Pete) Gaitan Garza of San Marcos was called to be with his Lord on June 29, 2009 at the age of 52.

He was born in San Marcos on June 11, 1957 to Marcelino Garza and Amanda Gaitan Molina.

Pete was an avid mechanic and was well known for his skill.

Pete was preceded in death by his father Marcelino Garza; his sister, Diana Garza Ovalle; his maternal grandparents, Roberto and Josephine Gaitan and his paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Manuela Garza.

The memories he left will truly be cherished to those who survive him.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gloria Garza of San Marcos, his three daughters, Cindy Garza and husband Joe Reyna of Lockhart, Amanda Garza of San Marcos and Rosie Garza of San Marcos; two granddaughters, Alianna Reyna of Lockhart and Jasmin Reyna of Lockhart; his mother, Amanda Gaitan Molina and stepfather, George Molina of San Marcos; his brothers, Robert Garza and wife Mary of Seguin, Steve Garza and wife Georgia of Seguin and Marcelino Garza Jr. and wife Iris of Seguin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be today at 5 p.m. at the Goodnight & Snell Funeral Event Center with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, July 3 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment services will follow at the San Marcos City Cemetery.
