Frank Palomo Puentes

Frank Palomo Puentes, of San Marcos, passed away June 19, 2009 at the age of 60. He was born April 28, 1949 in San Marcos to parents Regino and Dominga (Palomo) Puentes. Frank worked at Texas State University and served his country in the United States Marines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beatrice Puentes and brother Armando Puentes. Frank is survived by his wife, Susie Ramirez Puentes; daughters Sandra Ann Bolanos and her husband Rolando, Rachel Puentes and Paul Cruz and Yolanda Puentes; brothers Henry Puentes and David Puentes; sisters Sylvia Puentes, Irma Puentes Facundo and Alma Puentes; grandchildren Daniel Ray Bolanos, Michael Bolanos, Mathew Bolanos and Dimitri Bolanos. Frank and Susie were members of the Cuauhtemoc and had many, many close friends from the group.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Goodnight & Snell Funeral Event Center with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Larry Stehling officiating. The United States Marine Corps will provide military honors immediately following the funeral mass at St. John's.
