Jesus ‘Jesse’ Guizar

— Jesus “Jesse” Guizar, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend joined our heavenly father on Thursday, March 4, 2010.

He is predeceased by his father Jesus Guizar Sr, his mother Mercedes Guizar and his sister Mercy.

He is survived by his wife Irma, who he was married to for 33 years, sons Jason and Gabriel, daughter Bettina and her husband Kevin and grandson Finn.  Although originally from California, Jesse made his home in Texas and was proud of it.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed many things.  A friend to all, he loved to meet new people and share life stories.  He loved being with his family, especially his new grandson Finn.  He also loved to watch football games from his favorites teams, the UT Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, no matter how disappointing their seasons could be.

A memorial service will be held at St. Johns Catholic Church in San Marcos, Tuesday at 10 a.m.  A visitation will be at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos on Monday evening at 7 p.m.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, charitable gifts be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements by Pennington Funeral Home, San Marcos, 353-4311. www.penningtonfuneralhome.com
