Antonia Gonzales entered Heaven on Nov. 3, 2009.
She was born on June 13, 1912 to Juan and Maria Rosas in Flatonia.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe B. Gonzales, first husband Bernabe Tovar, sons, Baltazar Tovar, Cecilio Tovar, Eusebio Gonzales and Marcelino Tovar; daughter, Anna Maria Gonzales and brothers Juan Rosas and Pablo Rosas and sister Marcelina Delgado.
Survivors include her sons Joe Gonzales and wife Eusebia of Baytown, and Wally Gonzales of San Marcos; daughters, Vickie Villapando of Austin, Mary Lou Garza and husband Fidel of San Marcos and Toni Perez and husband Ben of San Marcos; step-daughters, Sue Morgan and husband Braxton of Middlothian, Va., Mary Sirio and husband Alex Gonzales of San Antonio and Esparanza Arriaga of San Antonio; sisters Juanita Delgado of San Antonio, Senorina Munoz of Houston, Placida Lerma of Greely, Colorado and Guadalupe Carrizales of Smithville.
Antonia was the matriarch of her family, including 36 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren and 50 great- great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 2 p.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn in Reedville.
