Billie Jean Hagy

Billie Jean Hagy passed away peacefully at her home in San Marcos, Texas, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at the age of 73. She was born in San Marcos, Texas, on June 23, 1936, to Thomas and Bertie (Leinneweber) Williamson.

Raised in San Marcos, Billie was a member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She taught Sunday school, enjoyed bowling, served as Secretary for the Bowling League and was honored as Bowler of the Year. Billie was a member of the CTMC Auxiliary; she loved traveling, collecting decorative eggs and merry-go-rounds.

Her parents, a brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Billie is survived by her devoted husband, David L. Hagy, Sr.; son, David L. Hagy, Jr. and wife, Elda of Kyle; daughter, Cheryl Eismann of San Marcos; and three grandchildren, Jennifer and James Eismann, and Sara Hagy.

Billie was a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed more than words can say.

Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 20, 2009. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the First Christian Church in San Marcos, with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the San Marcos Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 3105 R.R. 12, San Marcos, TX 78666, or CTMC Hospice Care, 1315 IH-35 N, San Marcos, TX 78666.
