Joe Luis Pacheco, 50, long-time resident of San Marcos, recently of Round Rock, passed away Nov. 19, 2009.
He was born May 1, 1959, in San Marcos to Felix and Terry (Hernandez) Pacheco.
Joe graduated from San Marcos High School and Southwest Texas State University.
He leaves a long legacy of being a hard worker. He started working at Wonder World, Corbin, Pegasus Camp, Macy's and most recently with Dell Inc. as a senior executive service specialist.
In June of 1999, Joe married Jackie Hinchey-Pacheco. They have since divorced, but they remained soul-mates for life.
Joe is survived by his parents Felix and Terry Pacheco; sister Anita (Cissy) Cervantez and her husband Charlie; step-children Suzanne Hinchey Ponce and her husband Jesse, Richard J. Hinchey IV, Stephen Hinchey, Jeffery Hinchey, and Allison Hinchey; step-grandchildren Alyanna Madelin Hinchey, and Brendan Luke Ponce; his soul-mate Jackie Hinchey and other loving relatives.
Joe is also survived by a countless number of friends, many of whom are of the global community of Dell Inc. as far away as India, Panama, Phillipines, Canada, Europe, China and of course, the U.S.A.
Joe was a long-time proud member of LULAC of San Marcos. He enjoyed working out, jogging, dancing, DJ'ing, mentoring and public speaking.
Joe was well known to be an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. There are three words to describe Joe: “Bigger Than Life.”
Visitation is today, 2 to 9 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23 at St. John's Catholic Church in San Marcos.
Burial will follow in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.
