Philosophy Dialogues return to San Marcos Public Library
Join Texas State University instructors and special guests at the San Marcos Public Library for a variety of discussions centered on the topic of Minds Matter: Exploring Mental Health and Illness as part of the yearly Common Experience project.
The series is free to attend and open to the public. Anyone may join the discussions at any time during the series.
The dialogues continue on Wednesdays through Nov. 13.
The selected book for the 2013-2014 Common Experience is Behind Happy Faces: Taking Charge of Your Mental Health and is available at the library.
The first of eight sessions of Philosophy Dialogues at the Library series will feature Richard T. Hull, of the State University of New York at Buffalo, on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
The session is Incurable Brain Disease: Would You Want to Know? Hull is a visiting professor in the Texas State University Philosophy Department.
