Flame-colored tanager is a well-named bird, usually found in the mountains of Arizona.

Sometimes just the name of a bird is enough to make me want to grab my binocs, hop in the car and drive away to find it.
Such is the case with the flame-colored tanager, a bird seen recently in Big Bend National Park.
