Sally Olivo Salazar, 75, of San Marcos, broke her earthly bounds to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 15. Sally was born in San Marcos on Dec. 26, 1937. She was a Food Service Manager for the Gary Job Corp before retirement.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of more than 47 years, Adolfo D. Salazar; son Alfonso Quintero of San Marcos; daughter Pam Salazar and her companion Gilbert Martinez of San Marcos; sister Mary Preiss and her husband Mel of Geronimo,; brother Jesse Olivo of London, England; brother Pasqual Olivo of the Philippines; brother Joe Olivo and his wife, Ester of Zorn; half-sisters Margie Vasquez and her husband Salvador of San Marcos and Julia Peraldes of New Braunfels; half-brothers Abel De la Cruz and Joe De La Cruz both of San Marcos; grandchildren Alfonso Quintero, III, Adolph Quintero and Bertha Quintero all of San Marcos, Monica Charles and her husband Rene of Converse and Morgan Jane Mendez of Kyle; great-grandchildren Adolph, Jr., Marissa, Michelle, Alyssa and Noah. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Jane Mendez.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., today at the Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, July 19, 10 a.m. at the Primera Iglesia Bautista, 501 S. Guadalupe St. in San Marcos.
