When Monet Moreau sets a goal, she aims high.
Moreau is a soon-to-be senior at San Marcos High School with ambitions of representing the United States at the Olympic Games as her father, John Moreau, did in 1984 and 1988. If she reaches her goal, that would make the duo one of the few father-daughter Olympians in US history.
John’s Olympics sport was fencing. Monet decided to out-do him by competing in four sports wrapped up in one event — the modern pentathlon.
