Lehman releases 2008 slate

From staff reports

KYLE — Lehman High School released its 2008 football schedule this weekend. The Lobos are scheduled to play 10 games, including five games at Bob Shelton Stadium.

The schedule favors Lehman coming out of the gate. The Lobos open up against Johnston at home and then travel to Austin-Reagan. Lehman returns home for its Homecoming against San Antonio-Edison and then travels to play Lanier and Gonzales.

The Lobos have an easier non-district schedule, as their opponents combined to have a 21-19 record. The Apaches won eight games in District 29-3A last season and will be playing their first year in 4A competition.

When Lehman begins its district schedule, the first game will be Parent Night against Manor at 7:30 p.m. The Lobos will then travel to Elgin the next week for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Lehman, once again, will host a game and then travel as Del Valle comes to Shelton Staium and then it heads to Lockhart. The Lobos wrap up the 2008 schedule against Hays, and will be the home team.
