Huntsville — Texas State ended its season in a thriller Saturday afternoon, but the Bobcats were on the wrong end of the scoreboard.
After two halves weren’t enough to declare a winner, Texas State and Sam Houston State went into three overtimes before the Bearkats clawed out a 92-89 win.
The Bobcats held a four-point lead in the second overtime with one minute, 15 seconds remaining, but couldn’t finish the job.
Texas State was led by Diamond Ford and Kelsey Krupa, who each scored 18 points. Aimee Hilburn pulled down 16 rebounds in her final collegiate game while Victoria Davis had seven points, eight assists and five rebounds in hers.
The Bobcats fell to 7-19 overall and 3-13 in the SLC with the loss. Sam Houston improved to 11-17 and 8-8.
