Manor — The San Marcos girls track-and-field team traveled to Manor Stadium to compete in the Mustang Relays last Friday.
The Lady Rattlers placed fifth as a team with seven girls competing.
Sophomore Laura Artiles led San Marcos by placing second in the 3200-meter run and fourth in the 1600-meter run with a season-best time (5:58).
Solana Dever scored multiple points by placing second in the 400-meter dash, fifth in the 200-meter dash and sixth in the long jump.
Senior Meghan Rodriquez placed fourth in the 800-meter run while freshman Carrie Walpole placed third in the 3200. Sophomore Amanda Hunt placed third in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Finally in the night's final event, the 4x400-meter relay team of Gina Misiaszek, Dever, Rodriquez and Madelyn Swinney placed third, running 4:23.
